GIRAFFE

Giraffes are known for their long necks, beautiful spotted coats and their small horns on their head.

A giraffes neck can be as long as 1.8 metres long and male giraffes have longer necks than female giraffes. Their necks have multiple vertibrae like many mammals however they are much more elongated than most animals

Their diet is mainly tree leaves form acacia trees. Their long tounges allow them to reach many places most animals cannot even reach.

Giraffes are native to the savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. They are particularly abundant in countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, and South Africa. Giraffes prefer areas with plenty of acacia trees, which constitute a major part of their diet.
